...and that's why there have been no blog updates for 2 months. Sorry, Everybody! I was going to do some updating from the road, but about a week after we left New York in mid-November, William's laptop died. It made a cartoonish sounding noise and then was no more. We even took it to someone who supposedly has had very little trouble resuscitating these things from the dead, and he was unable to revive it. The real bummer is that we had ALL our photos from our New York trip on it. I nearly cried. There were wonderful shots of Wyatt having a blast in Madison Square park with his buddy Finn. More pics of Wyatt, Emma, Finn and William and I at the Veterans Day Parade, with 5th Avenue as a backdrop and the boys waving as marching bands and trucks with folks waving the American flag passed by. We also had lots of pictures of friends and glorious photos of Central Park in all it's beauty during the height of the the Fall leaf peeping season. The only saving grace is that ONE day, (the day we were at Central Park, actually), the camera's battery died and we took the rest of our pictures from our iphones. Thank Goodness.
I have a LOT of catching up to do, so check in over the next few days and hopefully there will be plenty of new posts documenting our travels to New York, Northern California and the Great Southwest, as well as our Christmas road trip to Saint Louis. My head's been spinning from all this travel, but it feels good to be back to where we started from.
