Mom's and Babies Strolling Through Soho

Checkin' Out Horse Art at Robert Dutesco Gallery

Stefan Stagmeister at Deitch Projects
On a chilly day in the middle of February, Wyatt and I headed down to our Bowery Babes mommy friend Neelam's apartment in Soho. There, we met up with about twelve other mom's with their babies and we headed out to check out several galleries featuring very baby-friendly contemporary art.
First stop was a gallery on Wooster Street that featured HUGE canvases covered in sequins made by two Hatian artists. They were bright, fun, sparkly and eye-catching. The babies loved it!
Next stop was at Deitch Projects were we saw a giant inflatable gorilla, an entire wall covered in bananas (what a smell!), and some nice photos of objects that spelled out messages.
The last stop was at the Robert Dutesco Gallery, where we were treated to a very interesting talk about the horses of Sable Island by the gallery owner. The photos of the horses were gorgeous and larger than life.
It was a fun day getting together with the other moms, looking at art and watching the babies enjoy the art and each other.
